About Pott Farms

Pott Farms is an educational regenerative hemp farm located in Willis, MI. We provide supportive
job training for young adults from communities harmed by cannabis prohibition, who help us grow our certified USDA Organic hemp.

What does it mean to us to be regenerative? It means that our systems are designed to restore and sustain rather than deplete our resources, and to fairly distribute the fruits of our work.

As an L3C (low-profit limited liability company) based in Washtenaw County Michigan, our processes are grounded in our commitment to justice. Our goal is to increase access to and understanding of hemp-based wellness products, and to produce those hemp products with the utmost care for our land, our community, and for ourselves.

Co-founder, Robbin Pott, is a certified Soil Food Web consultant, and leads our on-the-farm training program. She also now offers Living Soil Services to provide soil biology testing, consulting, education, and biologically-active compost amendments.

Living Soil

Our soil is the key to our amazing CBD. We cultivate a diverse set of microbial life by adding compost amendments, not tilling, and keeping cover plants growing year round. Our soil provides our hemp plants all the nutrients they need to be healthy and resilient without the use of fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.

Organic & Local Ingredients

We choose ingredients from producers that align with our purpose, and always choose local options when available.

Our purpose

Pott Farms was created by kind people who believe in the healing powers of cannabis and who want to create a better way of doing business.

Robbin Pott created and leads Pott Farms. Her experience as a lawyer and public policy researcher in child welfare helped her to understand that a major obstacle to families finding stability was a lack of supported economic opportunity. Pott Farms is using restorative solutions to address this problem.

Our beautiful farm cultivates living soil to provide the best growing environment for our hemp, and we train young adults from communities disproportionately harmed by cannabis prohibition and the war on drugs how to grow cannabis regeneratively.

Pott Farms was co-founded by a diverse group of hopeful people. We believe that a company can be a wise steward of our resources, care for the people who both produce and consume our products, and fairly distribute the wealth that it generates.
